Mario Gotze claims he is interested in moving to the Premier League in order to pursue his dream of winning the Champions League.
Following a rough spell at Borussia Dortmund, the PSV star has resurrected his career in the Netherlands since joining Eindhoven in 2020.
Gotze’s PSV contract expires in 2024, but the attacking midfielder is already seeking for a new club.
“I’ve always made it my objective to win the Champions League,” Gotze said to Sports Illustrated.

“I’ve always made it my aim that I truly want to win the Champions League,” Gotze told Sports Illustrated.
That’s still something I’d like to accomplish. I don’t have to if I don’t want to. “I believe the competition is outstanding.” I’ve decided to leave the Bundesliga and travel to Holland to see and experience something different.
“I only knew the Bundesliga, where I had spent ten years as a player. However, in order to achieve my aforementioned aim, I would like to play at the greatest level in Europe, particularly in Italy or Spain.” The Premier League, with its well-balanced competition, appeals to me as well.”
At PSV, Gotze teamed up with German coach Roger Schmidt, but the 55-year-old is set to depart at the end of the season.
Gotze, 29, could decide to follow him out the door as he seeks a new mentor for his career.

The World Cup champion lavished admiration on the current Liverpool manager, praising Klopp’s effect on him.
