Here are our player ratings from the Man United FA Cup tie vs Wigan Athletic.
Andre Onana – Made one smart save early on. Wasn’t really tested after that. 6/10
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Had a comfortable game at right-back. Was always in control and not really threatened. 6/10
Raphael Varane – Came through the game easily enough. Was on the wrong end of a rogue elbow but didn’t let it bother him. 6/10
Jonny Evans – Much like Varane. Largely untested. Good enough in possession to keep it ticking over. 6/10
Diogo Dalot – Opened the deadlock with a lovely curled effort. Bombed up and down his side all game long. 7/10
Kobbie Mainoo – It’s just so easy for him. Great with the ball at feet. Positionally excellent. Won tackles galore. 8/10
Scott McTominay – Missed one glorious chance. Kept it neat and tidy in possession. 6/10
Bruno Fernandes – Scored a penalty which killed the game off. Sprayed the ball around nicely. 6/10
Marcus Rashford – Had a couple of chances early but quickly faded. Didn’t look all that interested at times. 5/10
Alejandro Garnacho – He’s dynamite. At the heart of everything good about United’s attacking play. 7/10
Rasmus Hojlund – Just not his night. Missed two great opportunities but continued to work hard. 5/10
Subs:
Willy Kambwala – Not enough time to mark.
Facundo Pellistri – Not enough time to mark.
Omari Forson – Nice to see him make his debut.
