Man United have learned how much it would cost to prise Gleison Bremer away from Juventus this summer.
I think it’s pretty clear that Manchester United will sign a new defender under INEOS’ control this summer. It feels like the priority area at this early stage, while it does make sense given the fact that the Reds have obvious issues back there.
Among the few names being heavily linked with filling that void is Gleison Bremer. The Juventus defender continues to impress at both club and international level.
Now, Gazzetta have provided the latest information on that front, claiming that United ‘have made a move’ to sign the 27-year-old defender.
Juventus are said to be ‘waiting for interest to turn to offers’ for Bremer, while the man from Brazil will cost at least £51.3m (60m euro.
Bremer is said to be ‘always at the top’ of United’s thoughts as they look to bring in a centre-back this summer, while the Reds ‘don’t seem to care’ about spending such a fee to bring in the Juventus man during the upcoming transfer window.
What’s interesting here is that Gazzetta state United could use Mason Greenwood in some sort of swap deal including Bremer. In a summer where money is said to be tight at Old Trafford, this could certainly offset the cost for the Reds.
Bremer represents genuine quality defensively. He’s reliable, good on the ball, technically strong and a physical unit. He feels ideal for the Premier League, while I also view him as someone who’d be the perfect partner for Lisandro Martinez.
I actually think the transfer fees being mentioned are super reasonable for a player of his quality.
