Isak Hansen-Aaroen is said to be considering his future at the club, after a lack of first-team chances.
Manchester United as a club have never shied away from giving younger players their opportunity at the highest level. The game has changed somewhat under Erik ten Hag, with the Dutchman keen to ensure that these players earn their chances.
Kobbie Mainoo is a fine example of that, with the midfielder shining at the highest level right now.
Another midfielder who is chomping at the bit for his opening is Isak Hansen-Aaroen, though so far, the minutes haven’t come his way.
Understandably, he’s disappointed, with the Manchester Evening News claiming that the starlet is said to be ‘considering (his) future at the club, while he’s frustrated at a lack of first-team opportunities.
The report claims that United are looking ‘increasingly set’ to lose Hansen-Aaroen, as the race to sign the Norwegian star is hotting up.
The 19-year-old is still in discussions with the Old Trafford club, while he’d love to make it work here in Manchester. Though understandably, he’s frustrated at the lack of first-team opportunities. He now has doubts about committing his future to the club.
United, understandably, would love the player to sign a new deal, though the current package on the table isn’t close to what Hansen-Aaroen would be offered elsewhere.
Ajax, Atletico Madrid and Napoli are circling if Hansen-Aaroen does leave the club, though United will not allow him to leave under any circumstances this month, rather, they’d prefer to let the 19-year-old to stay, risking losing him on a free this summer.
In an ideal world, the player will commit his future to the club, though you absolutely cannot blame him if he wants to leave in search of regular first-team minutes.
