Borussia Dortmund are said to be ‘increasingly confident’ of signing Jadon Sancho this month.
Manchester United still have a major Jadon Sancho issue to deal with. The Old Trafford club are still paying the Englishman’s wages, despite the fact that he has been completely out of the loop since September following a disagreement with the manager.
Upon his signing from Borussia Dortmund, the Reds supporters were rightly excited about the prospect. At the time, Sancho was the star man out of a side including Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham. He’s now comfortably the worst of that trio. Poor performances coupled with a poor attitude have led to a real rapid decline in quality from the Englishman.
A move away feels inevitable, though it does look like it’s going to be a loan until the end of the season, at least initially.
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the latest on that front, with a potential move to Dortmund looking promising. The German side are said to be ‘increasingly confident’ about signing Sancho this week, with the player ‘ready to travel’ ASAP.

The sooner this deal is done, the better for all involved. Sancho is completely bereft of confidence here, while United could do with getting him out of the door, as it has become a really toxic situation.
Even if Sancho struggles in Dortmund, I’d be absolutely shocked if he ever plays for United again, assuming Ten Hag remains in charge beyond this summer.
He just looks lost in this United team. We’ve rarely seen glimpses of his natural ability, which is just not enough when you’re spending £70m+ on the player.
I do genuinely hope that he does enjoy himself over in Dortmund, playing well enough to earn a permanent move back to the German club. For them, this deal is a free hit as no doubt the Reds will be paying a large portion of his wages over the next six months.
Hopefully, a deal is confirmed soon.
