Arsenal is on the verge of announcing a £72 million deal for winger Arteta this summer.
Arsenal is ‘definitely interested’ in signing Villarreal winger Yeremy Pino this summer, as they prepare to offload Nicolas Pepe.
The £72 million record signing has struggled to establish himself in Mikel Arteta’s starting XI and has been linked with a move away in recent times, with Lyon and Marseille both reported to be keeping a close eye on the player’s situation at Arsenal amid reports the player was assessing his options during the January transfer window.
Despite all of the speculation and rumors that he might leave the club in January, Pepe chose to stay and fight for his position.
However, speculation about his long-term future at the club continues, as Arteta will look to continue revamping the squad for the remainder of the summer transfer window, and is reportedly open to letting the star leave.
According to reports in the media, a move to Nice is on the cards because the French club is in advanced talks with the winger, who is eager to leave Arsenal.
And it appears that they already have a replacement lined up, according to Alex Crook, who claims that a move for Pino is something the Arsenal are very interested in.
Following an impressive season with Villareal last year, there has been much speculation in recent weeks that the Gunners are keen to sign the talented youngster.
“I think it might be a little rich,” Crook told GIVEMESPORT.
“I believe Villarreal is looking for around £40 million.” Obviously, Arsenal has already spent more than £100 million, in addition to the more than £100 million they spent last summer.
“I believe they would have to shift people out to make that happen.” But there is undeniable interest.”

Pepe has never lived up to his full potential at the Emirates, despite numerous opportunities, so leaving is the right thing to do.
Pino is a very talented young man, but he would be a big risk, and Arsenal would be better off trying to sign a Premier League-proven winger.
