Barcelona star Ferran Torres has sent a clear message to CHELSEA and revealed his plans for next season.
Torres, who has scored 15 goals in 35 Spain caps, last played in the Premier League for Man City – scoring 16 goals in 43 games across all competitions.
He has notched 14 goals in 67 games across all competitions since joining Barcelona in January 2022 – but he has not been a regular starter for the club and is now one of the players that the club are open to letting leave.
The Spaniards knows that they will need to get rid of a few players in the transfer window as they are keen to bring in a few players, and now it seems that the club are interested in a move.
But Torres has sent a clear transfer message to chasing club.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
He told Spanish news outlet Sport after the Gunners beat Barca 5-3 in a friendly: “It’s very important for a striker to start scoring, to get off to a good start.
“I’m going to fight for a place in the team. And then it is up to the coach to decide (my future).
“The names (linked with moves away) are provided by journalists. I have a contract here. I’m going to stay. I don’t care what anyone says about me. I’m going to work as hard as anyone else.
“I’m the first to be self-critical, it wasn’t a good season last year but I learned a lot. These ups and downs have helped me to be stronger now.”
