Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that you guys may have missed from us –
Man City have set their price for defender Aymeric Laporte, and he could be the perfect buy for CHELSEA.
There has been constant speculation in the media that we are eyeing up a number of possible defenders between now and the end of the transfer window in order to solve a very big problem in the squad
Shock reports emerged in the media last month that the club have contacted Man City about a possible deal for the impressive Laporte -who is one of the very best defenders in world football
WHAT HAS HAPPENED –
If you believe the reports on the GOAL website – Man City have now made the decision to allow Laporte to depart the club over the next few months and they will let him leave for just £25 million.
And if you believe the words of reporter Iomie Stanley – he could be the perfect signing for Pochettino.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID:
‘He is the ideal man to come in and help sort out those defensive issues for Mauricio Pochettino – he is a leader and a man that could be in that side for the next five or six years.
‘Man City made the decision to sell to Arsenal last summer and they became Premier League contenders – so that is why Chelsea will have a very hard time trying to get a deal done.
‘However – if Guardiola does not see much of a threat from CHELSEA because of their poor season last year – then he will do business with the Blues and let the defender make the move to London.
‘And guys – he could be a world class signing for Chelsea and Poch – perfect even.’
UGOCHUKWU TO SIGN –
Lesley Ugochukwu is about to sign for CHELSEA as the Blues move on from trying to sign Moises Caicedo.
The club have trying to sign Moises Caicedo all summer window and have even made three offers for the midfielder – with the latest being a massive £80 million, which was quickly rejected by Brighton.
It is no secret that Brighton do not want to sell one of the clubs best players and have demanded a whopping £100 million for the gifted star – a fee that we not happy paying this summer.
Now – it seems that they have moved on from trying to sign Caicedo and are about to complete the signing of Ugochukwu
WHAT IS THE LATEST –
The Athletic report the club will pay £23.5million for the midfielder and he will sign a long-term deal.
The 19-year-old was meant to feature in the friendly between Renne and West Ham this week – but will prepare for a trip to London to finalise a move to Stamford Bridge.
Despite his young age, Ugochukwu has already made 60 senior appearances for boyhood club Rennes, helping them finish fourth in Ligue 1 last season.
The arrival of the French youth international will no doubt please Mauricio Pochettino who was looking to bring in at least one more midfielder having lost so many of them during the summer
WILL Ugochukwu BE A GOOD SIGNING FOR CHELSEA?
The lad is certainly a talent that has a big future in the game and his imminent arrival suggests that we will give up on trying to sign Caicedo because Brighton believe he is worth more than some of the best players in the game.
The lad is talented – he could be a decent buy
CHELSEA EYE LAVIA –
CHELSEA are now prepared to outbid Premier League rivals Liverpool during the race to sign Southampton’s Romeo Lavia.
It is no secret that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is not done with his transfer business for the summer and is very much interested in a deal for the talented Lavia.
Fabinho is a man that Klopp will need to replace after his decision to make the move to Saudi Arabia – and Lavia is a midfielder that Klopp reportedly feels is ready to come to the club and help fill the void of the Brazilian star.
It has been claimed in recent days that Liverpool have made their first official move to get Lavia signed up and offered a fee around the £37 million mark – which has been rejected by the Saints.
Lavia started against Bournemouth but was taken off at half-time, as according to journalists in attendance at St Mary’s, the teenager looked ‘uninterested’ and was ‘coasting’ through the game.
Now it seems that we have made their moves to try and get a deal done for Lavia.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
Journalist Ben Jacobs wrote on Twitter: “The CHELSEA counter is coming. Chelsea ready to move for Lavia and even prepared to table a higher offer than Liverpool, having bid £50m for him a year ago. But Lavia is still sold on Liverpool. A move to Anfield remains more likely at this stage.”
WOULD HE BE A GOOD SIGNING?
Look, he is a very talented lad – but we need players that are experienced and adding another talent to the side just doesnt make sense.
