Saka Drops Massive Arsenal Transfer Bombshell Amid Summer Rumours
While Saka has shown no interest in pushing for a move at the end of the season, things could quickly change between now and June.
If Arsenal are unable to qualify for the Champions League next season and continue to show no sign of improvements under Mikel Arteta, Saka may opt for a move to a bigger club that is challenging for major silverware.
Similarly, while Arsenal may be able to match most clubs for wages, it’s unlikely that they can match the financial might of Manchester City or indeed the sporting promise of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool team.
Arsenal’s ability to keep Saka at the club will depend on their financial offer but also what they can promise in terms of sporting success in the years to come.
And if either of those don’t match up with what the winger can achieve in Manchester or Liverpool then Saka may decide to leave this summer.
However, the youngster is reportedly not considering a move away from the Emirates as things stand.
According to the report, Saka is happy and settled at Arsenal despite apparent interest from Liverpool.
The Reds have been linked with the Gunners forward over the past few months, although they are rather tentative.
Reports have also claimed that Arsenal want to hand Saka a new contract, to fend off interest from other clubs such as Liverpool.
In response to those claims, Romano has provided an update on Saka’s feelings towards staying at Arsenal.
“It’s always Liverpool rumours,” said Romano.
“This is what I was asking yesterday and the answer I received was that Bukayo loves Arsenal, he loves the club, he’s a good guy and a genuine guy, and this is why he’s not planning to leave in the summer.
“He’s not focused on a new deal now because he wants to focus on the season, but at the end of the season he will have a meeting with Arsenal and discuss a new deal.” He added.
Saka himself has now come out to say playing and scoring for Arsenal has been his dream since he was a child.
This was after Arsenal’s 3-2 win over relegation threatened Watford, a game which the youngster scored and assisted.
Arguably the man of the match, Saka said: “We all just want to score for Arsenal because it’s been our dream since we were kids.”
