Pedri was the first to send good wishes to Gavi but he’s been quickly followed by a host of other players past and present – showing how much he’s loved across the football world.

Let’s take a look at the messages that have come flooding in:

Fermin Lopez: “All the best bro, you’ll come back stronger. Now more than ever I’ll be by your side, I love you. Pablo Gavi.”

Joao Cancelo also sent Gavi a message on Instagram stories: “I’m with you brother. You’re going to come back stronger. I love you my warrior.”

He was joined by Raphinha on the social media channel: “May you recover as soon as possible my brother, be as strong as you are I love you.”

Ansu Fati, currently on loan in the Premier League with Brighton, also posted a message: “Lots of strength my little brother, we are with you,” he wrote on social media.

Striker Robert Lewandowski was also among the well-wishers. “Lots of strength, friend.”

Former captain Sergio Busquets also had some kind words for his ex-team-mate: “Knowing you, you will come back stronger. Animo animal.”

And so did Jordi Alba: “A lot of strength in this hard bump, little brother!! Everyone who knows you knows that you are going to fight to come back even stronger!”

The Spanish Federation have also sent Gavi some good wishes in a statement on Twitter.

“You have always shown us your strength and this time you will do it again. You will return an even better footballer, because a better teammate and person is impossible, and the entire SE Futbol family will be waiting for you. MUCH CHEER, GAVI. We love you.”

La Liga have also been thinking about Gavi: “Sending best wishes to Gavi! We look forward to seeing you back doing what you love.”

And finally a word from captain Sergi Roberto: “Gavi a lot of strength. I have no doubt that with your character, strength and mentality you can handle this and everything I love you brother.”
