According to recent rumours, Arsenal has given teenage right-back Brooke Norton-Cuffy a new contract.
Last year, the 18-year-old signed his first professional contract, which runs until 2023, and has since been loaned out to League One club Lincoln City.
The Gunners have now offered the teenager a new long-term contract, which he is set to sign, according to The Athletic.
Norton-Cuffy has put in some impressive performances for The Imps in recent weeks, displaying his exceptional physicality and dribbling ability, with head coach Michael Appleton impressed by his performance against Doncaster Rovers last month.
International right-back for Japan This season, Takehiro Tomiyasu has had a solid debut season with Arsenal and football. Both Hector Bellerin and Ainsley Maitland-Niles are expected to leave the club on a permanent basis this summer, indicating that Norton-Cuffy has a clear road to the first team.
Bellerin is now on loan at Real Betis in La Liga, while Maitland-Niles joined AS Roma on a season-long loan from Jose Mourinho during the January transfer window.
Similarly, versatile defender Calum Chambers went for Aston Villa during the winter window, leaving Tomiyasu and Cedric Soares as the only recognized right-backs at the Emirates Stadium.
