Welcome to your quick recap. City lose on penalties.
Manchester City are leaving the Champions League and have lost to the 14 time champs. An unfortunate match that saw City have enough to win, but the shots just did not go in. A pretty cowardly performance by Los Blancos and it worked in the end where they looked more like Atletico then the mighty team everyone thought they were.
A match that had a similar feel to most City matches, yet resulted in some good play for the team as the intensity was present early. It was a bit disjointed at points, but one cannot be too angry given the stats, just plan bad luck in the end with penalties.
One where City was in control with possession and chances created. They played a very solid match and are in out now.
City had so many players who played well yet could not get that final third just right.
Two players of note who did play well and were lively were Jeremy Doku and Manuel Akanji who showed up well.
The story of the night is that City get eliminated from UCL
A sad elimination, but we move to the title race.
