Manchester City face Crystal Palace on Saturday and they’ll be looking to end a strange run of giving Palace a two-goal head start. Two seasons ago, the blues lost this fixture 2-0 and last season, Palace took the same score into the break, only for Erling Haaland to hit a hattie and lead the blues to a 4-2 win.
How will we go on this time? As usual our team are here to give us their views.
Thomas
Here come Crystal Palace. Or a reasonable approximation thereof. The Eagles are sat 15th in the table, they’ve managed 1 draw and 4 losses in their last five fixtures, and they are missing a long list of first-team players. Roy Hodgson will be without Eze, Docoure, Holding, and Henderson among others on his trip to the Etihad. The Champions have been a bit uneven lately, but now is a great time for them to start ramping it up once more. I expect the Cityzens to handle the visitors with relative ease.
City 3-0 Palace

Palace are struggling, but that never seems to stop them from surprising us at the Etihad. City have one PL win in five matches, but that win at Luton will hopefully now be a springboard that launches a series of wins over the festive period. I don’t think we’ll mess this one up and I’m seeing a big win – without conceding.
City 5-0 Palace
How Did We Do Against Red Star?
Okay, first of all, my apologies but I had technical difficulties last week and couldn’t post anything, but happily, I’m back now. Out team predicted the following:
Saul – A very reserved 1-0 to City
Craig – went crazy with a 5-1 to the blues
Thomas – A more sensible 3-1 to City
Dillon – Even more sensible 2-1
Pete had 3-1 to the mighty blues
Many were close, but Saul got the right goal difference (again) so he emerged this week’s big winner. Here’s the up-to-date table:
