Man United are keen on adding Leeds United’s Archie Gray to their squad.
Under INEOS, Manchester United should look to move in a different direction. For far too long, money has been thrown straight down the drain, leaving the Red Devils tied by FFP constraints.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe has to bring a different strategy with him, while we’re already potentially seeing those changes come to light. Over the last week or so, United have been linked with a whole host of younger signings, rather than marquee additions.
The latest rumour links Leeds United’s Archie Gray with a potential Old Trafford transfer. The story comes from journalist Ekrem Konur, who tweeted his latest information on the news earlier today.
According to his latest information, United are among the sides who ‘want to sign’ the talented 17-year-old Championship midfielder. Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are also keen.
Gray has made six senior appearances for Leeds this season, which is mightily impressive due to his age. Four of those games have come in the Championship.
The fact that it’s only major Premier League sides who have Gray on their radar tell you everything you need to know about his talent and ability. This young midfielder has the talents to make it at the very highest level. There can be no doubt it’d be a huge coup for the eventual winner of his signature.
However, I don’t think there’s a club in the world that Leeds United hate more than Manchester United. Are they really going to allow one of their prized assets to make the move to Old Trafford? I highly doubt it, even if the Reds present the best offer.
The only way this happens is if Gray allows his contract to wind down, leaving Leeds with absolutely zero say in the matter. His current deal expires in 2028, leaving United with little hope at getting this deal done.
