Man City manager Pep Guardiola has admitted that he doe snot know if CHELSEA target Kalvin Phillips will leave the club this transfer window.
At Leeds – Phillips established himself as one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League – and that prompted Man City boss Pep Guardiola to take him to the Etihad.
However – the move has not quite worked out and he has struggled to make an impact -with a number of injuries keeping him on the sidelines more often that he would have hoped for.
That has led to reports in the media linking the club with a potential move for the man, as he is still one of the best holding midfielders in the Premier League.
And all the chasing clubs have been boosted, after Guadiola admitted that he does not know if Phillips will be leaving the club by the end of the January transfer window. Guardiola was speaking ahead of Sunday’s home FA Cup tie against Huddersfield:
“I don’t know. Kalvin has been sick the last five days so hasn’t trained with us. What’s going to happen is going to happen.
“I don’t talk about the transfer window here.”

We have alot of quality young players that are not yet proven at the top of the game – and despite the fact that Phillips has been unable to hold down a regular spot in that Man City squad – he is still a player that Poch would love to have in his squad.
