Tottenham Hotspur were left in shock this week by the sudden death of renowned fitness coach Gian Piero Ventrone.
The 61-year-old played a major role in improving the fitness of the Tottenham squad when he arrived in November and he quickly became a popular man around the club, with both players and staff. Ventrone had worked across the world in Europe and Asia and won titles galore with Juventus and the World Cup with Italy as a member of Marcello Lippi’s staff.
