Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed CHELSEA should reconsider their plans to sell Trevoh Chalobah this summer.
The club have spent some serious money over the past couple of transfer windows and brought in alot of players – but have also allowed alot of players to depart the club this summer.
The defender donned the armband on an interim basis in North Carolina as Mauricio Pochetino began life as manager with a 5-0 victory over Wrexham – despite all the speculation on his future.
Inter Milan are interested in a move for the defender, who has aims of breaking into the England squad ahead of the European Championships in Germany next year, and are now seemingly closing in on a deal for the defender.
However – amid all the speculation – Agbonlahor has told the club that they should keep hold of the defender.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
Agbonlahor told Football Insider: “I do like Chalobah, he’s had some really good games – I don’t think Chelsea should be looking to move him on.
“CHELSEA should be happy with what they’ve got, even without Fofana.
“Colwill, Badiashile, Thiago Silva, Chalobah. If they’re being greedy, then you could maybe argue for one more coming in.
“But Pochettino has got to be happy with those options.
“There was talk of Chalobah leaving, but I think they should only consider it if it’s a really big fee.”
SHOULD WE KEEP CHALOBAH?
The lad is certainly talented and quite honestly we would be very disappointed to see him leave the club this summer.
