Jules Kounde’s continued saga with Chelsea and Barcelona looks set to be over as the English side have now reached an agreement with the player’s camp.
The French defender has been on the Blues’ radar for seven months and now it looks as though he will be the third new recruit the side have through the door this week as the club looks to get the Todd Boehly in the best possible fashion.
The centre-back has agreed to personal terms with the Blues and if a fee is agreed, He will join Kalidou Koulibaly and Raheem Sterling as the latest names through the door at Stamford Bridge.
Sevilla are demanding €60/65M for the player, Barca does not want to pay that and Chelsea has no problem paying the fee.
A first offer was sent for the recruitment of the Frenchman which was rejected. €55m is the amount that was offered to the Andalusians.
The answer was therefore negative, but advanced discussions are continuing between the two camps . Koundé, for his part, would be happy to join the formation of Thomas Tuchel as long as each part finds its benefit.
The Blues are now expected to go back with an improved bid that matches Sevilla’s valuation. This proposal will be submitted in the next ‘few hours’
