Todd Boehly and CHELSEA agreed a deal with Nottingham Forest to sell Trevoh Chalobah on deadline day, according to Fabrizio Romano.
We were one of the most active sides in the transfer window over the past few months and managed to bring in a whole load of players that the board feel will help drive the club forward over the next couple of seasons.
However – there were also a number of players that the club no longer wanted to keep hold of and Chalobah was on the chopping board at Stamford Bridge.
Romano believes Nottingham Forest and the board shook hands on a £25m deal for Chalobah after Bayern Munich saw a move of their own for the No.14 break down, but he made the decision to stay and fight for his place in the Blues squad.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
He Tweeted: ‘Nottingham Forest tried to sign Trevoh Chalobah with an important proposal to the player on Deadline Day. The agreement with CHELSEA was done, permanent transfer for more than £25m #CFC
‘Chalobah appreciated effort but rejected & decided to stay after Bayern deal collapsed.’

It is mad to think that Chaloba was a player that the club wanted to sell, but we are very glad that he was not allowed to depart the club as we love the lad.
The fact he wanted to stay and fight for his place, that is the kind of player that Poch needs in the side and hopefully it works out for him.
