Barcelona reportedly want to offer Ronald Araujo a new contract and consider the center-back simply “untouchable” at the club.
Araujo’s name has been in the rumor mill recently amid claims Bayern Munich are keen on the Uruguay international.
However, transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has offered a new update and made it clear that Barca have no intention of letting their star defender leave.
“Understand Barça are set to offer new deal to Ronald Araújo — it’s one of the priorities. Bayern interest is genuine,” he wrote on X.
“Tuchel loves Araújo… but told Barça have no intention to enter in talks. New deal will be offered soon. He’s untouchable.”

Barcelona do have one billion euro release clause in Araujo’s current contract which runs until 2026, but it seems they are already thinking about tying the defender down to a longer deal at the Camp Nou.
