Eric Garcia scored his third goal of the season at the weekend as Girona cruised past Cadiz with a 4-1 win in La Liga.
The Barcelona loanee gave Girona the lead with a header for his third goal of the season for Michel’s high-flying side.
Girona went on to win comfortably with the victory enough to secure a place in European competition for the first time next season. There are still six games left to play but Girona are guaranteed at least a Europa Conference League spot for next year.

It could get even better than that for Girona. They need just nine points to secure third in the table and a place in the Champions League.
Eric has played a big part in his team’s campaign. The defender has started 24 matches for Girona and has made the most of his opportunity with the club.
It’s not clear what will happen next with Eric. There doesn’t seem room for him in the Barca squad and there’s been talk he could potentially be used in a deal to bring Aleix Garcia to the Camp Nou this summer.
