Former Barcelona forward Antoine Griezmann has been talking about Joao Felix ahead of this weekend’s meeting between Xavi’s side and Atletico in La Liga.
Felix is set to come up against his old team after leaving the club in the summer for a season-long loan with Barcelona.
Griezmann, who has also played for both teams, attempted to explain why things had gone sour for Felix at Atletico.
“In the end when you get here you know more or less what the coach is like, what the team is like, you adapt and work for it or things don’t work out for you.” he said.
“Joao had moments when he did very well, when he worked very well, but you have to be consistent and he got tired anyway. So he and the club made the effort to give him a way out.”

It’s thought Barcelona will try to sign Felix permanently at the end of the season, but there are doubts over whether the club will be able to agree a price with Atletico.
Felix is expected to play on Sunday at Montjuic, with his loan deal reportedly not including a clause that prevents him featuring against his parent club.
