Ansu Fati is set to return to Barcelona in the summer after an underwhelming loan spell in the Premier League with Brighton & Hove Albion.
Manager Roberto De Zerbi has said he doesn’t know what will happen with Ansu yet, but all signs are pointing to the fact his loan will not be renewed.
Diario Sport are reporting that Fati is looking forward to returning as he is “more convinced than ever that his place” is at Barca and that he can succeed with Xavi’s side.
It’s even claimed he turned down a move to Sevilla last summer because he couldn’t face coming up against Barcelona in La Liga.
Fati is now hoping for “a second chance” with the club and wants the opportunity to show in pre-season that he can be worth a place in the squad for next season.
The forward is hoping for a strong finish to the Premier League campaign and will then work hard in the off-season to ensure he’s in great shape once pre-season comes around.
