Erling Haaland scored his 12th league goal of the season as City eased past Wolverhampton Wanderers in Molineux.
City got off to a flying start as early as 55 seconds, with Jack Grealish scoring his first of the season after meeting Kevin De Bruyne’s cross.
Wolves’ only first-half shot on target came through Goncalo Guedes in the 4th minute, but he couldn’t beat Ederson to his bottom corner.
A few minutes later, Rodri thought he had doubled the lead for the team but he was deemed to have fouled Jose Sa in the buildup.
10 minutes later, Erling Haaland made it 2-0, turning Max Kilman with ease before hitting a long-range effort past Sa and into the bottom corner.
After the goal, the Norwegian became the first Manchester City player to score in his first four away games in the league.
However, the highlight of the half will come in the 33rd minute, as Wolves defender Nathan Collins thought he was in a battle arena and was given a direct red card after a brutal flying high boot on the hips of Grealish.
In the second half, Wolves began to show signs of improvement despite being a man down.
Unfortunately, their disadvantage caught up to them as Phil Foden rolled his shot to the bottom corner in the 69th minute to add more misery on the host.
Off the bench, Riyad Mahrez almost added a fourth but Sa reacted quickly to clear his shot off the line.
The goal gate was closed as Manchester City moved up to the 1st position in the league with 17 points, two points ahead of Arsenal who will soon kick off their match.
Meanwhile, Wolves remain in 16th place with 6 points, with only a win in 7 matches.
