Sofyan Amrabat has been added to the ever-growing Man United injury list.

Manchester United Football Club have started the season with injuries all over the field. Erik ten Hag has been dealing without many key faces to begin the campaign, with those problems continuing to grow.

The Old Trafford side are now on a two-week hiatus due to international football. This was supposed to be the period where players could potentially make some headway towards their return from the treatment table room.

Instead, the situation is seemingly getting worse.

United have suffered another injury blow, this time it’s Sofyan Amrabat. The 27-year-old has withdrawn from international duty due to a problem, the Manchester Evening News report.

A statement from Morocco read:

“The national team coach, Mr. Walid Regragui, summoned the player, Yahya Jeeran, to replace the injured Sofiane Amrabat.”

It feels like United just cannot catch a break right now. The severity of this Amrabat issue remains to be seen, though Morocco seem to be unwilling to risk one of their key players during this current international period.

Upon signing for the club, we covered a story which detailed a minor back injury for Amrabat. I do wonder whether that has flared up over the last few days and that’s why he is not involved.

I just hope this isn’t a serious issue. The last thing both United and Amrabat need is another player sitting out due to injuries – particularly as the United midfield has looked far too porous to start this season. Amrabat was brought in to fill that void.

Hopefully, we’ll hear more from Ten Hag in the early portion of next week in regard to the seriousness of this problem.

Get well soon, Sofyan.

Do you think Sofyan Amrabat will be fit enough to feature against Brighton this weekend? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
