Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has reportedly sent a get well soon message to Gavi after seeing the Barcelona teen ruled out for the long-term with a knee injury.
Gavi’s popularity has become increasingly evident since the sad news was announced that he’ll be out for the rest of the season with an ACL tear.
Barca players past and present have rushed to send their support to the midfielder and have now been joined by Perez.
The Real Madrid chief wrote to Gavi “offering Madrid’s full support” and apparently wishing him all the best for the future, according to reports.
He’s not the only man from Madrid to wish Gavi well. Dani Carvajal wrote the following on social media.
“Rivals and teammates, but above all, people,” he said. “You will come back much stronger, my friend.”
It’s not often you see fierce rivalry pushed aside in the football world, particularly when it comes to Madrid and Barca, but it seems the sight of such a young and exciting talent as Gavi being sidelined has really had an impact.
