Mauricio Pochettino has suggested that Conor Gallagher will not leave CHELSEAthis summer.
Gallegher has been in the transfer headlines alot this summer as it is believed that the club will allow him to depart the club should the right offer be made.
That has led to constant speculation in the media that West Ham are very keen to try and get a deal done for the midfielder – and have even made an offer of £40 million, which has been rejected by the club.
But there is a feeling that the Hammers will come back with an improved offer that the board may then accept – especially if it meets their £50 million valution on the midfielder.
However, Pochettino has now suggested that he will be staying at the club this transfer window.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
The Blues boss said: “He’s doing well. He’s a really important player, with his commitment, and the way he is involved every day and in training. We are so happy with him.”
Pochettino added: “I really believe in the squad and the quality of the squad. Now it’s only the process.
“We are in a good way. It’s the beginning, we are going to win games. There’s no doubt the quality is there, it’s only a matter of time.
“There have been many positive things. We need to give them time to perform, but we have good balance.
“Of course the Premier League is different, but then it’s about how we are capable of organizing the team and creating a team that plays really well.”
