Pedri has sent a message of support to Gavi after seeing his Barcelona team-mate suffer an injury playing for Spain against Georgia.
Gavi had to go off in the first half of Sunday’s win, with Spain subsequently confirming he’s suffered a major injury.
The fear is that Gavi has torn his ACL and could now miss the rest of the season, and Pedri is clearly thinking about his good friend.
“We are with you brother! Much strength Gavi I know you’ll come back stronger than ever!”
Ferran Torres also reacted to Gavi’s injury after the win when he spoke to the media.
“It was important to close the group with victory, but we leave with a bittersweet taste and not with very good feelings due to the injury of my teammate Gavi,” he said.
“I send him a lot of encouragement and a lot of strength. We still don’t know the extent of the injury, but knowing he is a warrior and how he left the field, we believe it could be something serious.”
Gavi is set for more tests on Monday to determine the severity of the injury and how long he’s likely to be sidelined for.
