Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed –
It has again been claimed that CHELSEA target Kylian Mbappe has decided that he will be leaving PSG on a free deal in the summer window.
Mbappe has been in the transfer headlines all summer after he came out and revealed that he has no plans to agree a new contract at the club – and will leave when his current deal expires at the end of the season.
PSG only want players on the tour who are committed to the club and want to be at the club, and did intend to sell the Frenchman in the summer for a fee, but the attacker made the decision to stay and wait.
PSG are convinced Mbappe has already agreed to join Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer, but with the Spaniards unable to compete in the transfer market because of their financial issues.
However – despite all the speculation and all the rumors – Mbappe is still a PSG player and a man that they are trying to tempt into signing a new contract to make him one of the highest paid players in world football.
WHAT IS THE LATEST –
But now Mbappe has told the club once again that he will not sign a new contract despite talks over an extension this summer, according to 90min. Mbappe is even willing to forego the €80 million (£69m/$86m) loyalty bonus he is due the club and will instead leave when his contract expires next year.
SHOULD CHELSEA SIGN THE MAN?
Look, Mbappe has no loyalties to the clubs he pays for – he goes where the money is and that is not what the club need right now.
He has an amazing amount of talent – but the Premier League is not the French league and that is why he wants a move to La Liga – there are a few great teams and then nothing.
JAMES DECISION –
CHELSEA defender Reece James wants to join Real Madrid next summer as Florentino Perez puts together a tempting package, according to reports.
James signed a bumper new six-year contract at Stamford Bridge last year (2022), which nets him a reported wage of £250,000-a-week, and made him one of the highest earners in the club.
However – there was alot of transfer speculation over the summer window that Madrid were very interested in trying to get a deal done for the Englishman, but were unable to convince the club to let him leave Stamford Bridge.
But Spanish publication Nacional claims Perez is ‘convinced’ Real Madrid’s priority next summer ‘must be the incorporation of a right back’ with their ‘trust in Dani Carvajal limited’.
Despite Carvajal starting off the season well, Perez ‘doubts that he can maintain this level throughout the year’ and therefore ‘going to the market is an obligation’.
James doesn’t want to keep ‘collecting failures’ at Stamford Bridge and he ‘could opt for a change of scenery’ if the Premier League club fail to qualify for the Champions League for the second year on the bounce.
Nacional adds that James has already said ‘yes’ to joining Real Madrid in that case with Los Blancos ready to present the club with an €80m (£69m) offer for the 23-year-old.

Look, we do not believe that James will be leaving the club over the next couple of windows as he is one of the most important players of the side.
We believe that this is just a silly rumour.
NUSA SPEAKS –
Antonio Nusa has spoken out over his failed deadline day move to CHELSEA after the Blues had a £23m bid rejected
The club smashed the British transfer record to sign Moises Caicedo from Brighton and also brought in Romeo Lavia, Christopher Nkunku, Cole Palmer, Axel Disasi, Nicolas Jackson, Lesley Ugochukwu, Robert Sanchez and Djordje Petrovic as well as Brazilian duo Deivid Washington and Angelo.
However, that did not stop the board from trying to get a very late transfer deal done for the exciting Nusa, who has been making a real name for himself after making the move to Club Brugge.
Nusa, 18, moved to Club Brugge in 2021 and has made a total of 46 appearances to date for the Belgian side, and he has now spoken about his failed move to Stamford Bridge in the summer window.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
He Said: ‘I already knew that it wasn’t going to happen now.
‘But then the money came on the table. Then it is seen in a slightly different way.
‘We had to have another conversation when the money arrived, but we were on the same page, so there was no problem there.’

Nusa would have been one of those signings that are simply not ready for a move to the Premier League, that are not ready to make an impact at Stamford Bridge and would have probably been sent out on loan.
It would have been another waste of £23 million from that board, who seem to think that their new policy of signing talents is the way to go, and quite honestly, fans are probably relieved that he was not signed.
