Kobbie Mainoo will be back from injury sooner rather than later.

Manchester United Football Club are an injury hit squad right now. The Old Trafford side are having to cope without many first team regulars, with problems suffered both during pre-season and since the serious matches started a few weeks ago.

Erik ten Hag’s squad is looking thin on the ground. Particularly in midfield. Mason Mount is out injured for about another five weeks, while a problem suffered by Mainoo in pre-season was a massive blow.

The young Englishman looked like a real promising player during the tour, with Ten Hag showing a real willingness to integrate the Stockport-born midfielder into the squad.

We haven’t been given any sort of update on Mainoo’s injury from the gaffer since it happened. However, a social media interaction between Mainoo and Bruno Fernandes offered some insight.

While responding to Bruno on social media, the United star provided a positive injury update, claiming it is ‘not too long’ until he’ll be back out on the pitch.

Check out Kobbie Mainoo’s Instagram post here:
And Bruno Fernandes’ interaction with Mainoo here:

Honestly, I can’t wait. Mainoo looks like the man who can pick up the midfield mantle. It may be why the club aren’t currently pushing super hard to bring in Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina.

Aged just eighteen, this young guy is ready to set the Premier League alight. He’s such a supremely gifted individual that doesn’t look out of place at the heart of the United midfield.

Obviously, he’s going to need some time to build up the match fitness but in a couple of months, I’m fully expecting to see him back to his brilliant best!

Do you think Kobbie Mainoo will be a good signing for Man United? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
