Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi has confirmed that Barcelona loanee Ansu Fati is facing three months out due to injury.
Fati picked up the injury against Nottingham Forest at the end of November, with De Zerbi initially saying the youngster would be out for “a long time.”
Brighton’s boss has now confirmed Fati will miss the next three months, although he didn’t offer any details on the nature of his injury.
“The news about Ansu Fati is I think he needs three months from the day of the injury,” De Zerbi told reporters.
“It’s bad news for us because he was playing better, he was understanding better the idea. I’m sorry for him, I’m sorry for the team.”
Fati’s latest injury is a real shame as he had started to adjust to life in the Premier League, scoring four goals in 14 appearances.
