Manchester City have advanced their interest in Norwegian striker Erling Haaland, with the club agreeing terms with the player’s representatives.
Praizsports understands that the club has agreed to pay Haaland a salary of more than £500,000 per week, making him the Premier League’s highest-paid player.

City are now expected to trigger the Borussia Dortmund striker £63 million release clause, with both clubs set to seal a five-year deal in the coming weeks.
Last week, Dortmund stated that no deal had been struck and maintained that they were in negotiations with other interested parties, including Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
Manchester City have remained quietly confident throughout Dortmund’s efforts to retain the player, and they are now closing in on the forward, who has been pursued by manager Pep Guardiola.
The Norwegian forward, who was born in Leeds, scored twice as Borussia Dortmund thrashed Wolfsburg 6-1 on Saturday to make it 33 goals in 31 appearances for club and country this season.
His father, Alf-Inge, played for Manchester City and has been heavily involved in the negotiations.
Sportsmail reported in March that Manchester City were in the pole position to sign the player with personal terms already being discussed between the player and the club.
The proposed £500,000-a-week salary would place the player above Kevin De Bruyne, whose weekly earnings were reported to be about £385,000.
Man City are set to play two friendlies in the United States in July and should the deal he completed, Haaland could make his debut.
