• Forward is awaiting to sign for Milan and complete medical.
• Origi has been with the Reds since 2015.
Divock Origi is set to join AC Milan this summer after his contract expires at the end of the season. The Belgium has agreed terms with Milan and is awaiting a medical to seal the deal.
Origi joined Liverpool in 2015 and is known for his high profile goals in major tournaments, including two crucial goals for the Reds in the Champions League semi final comeback vs Barcelona in 2019.
Despite his contributions on the pitch from mainly sub appearances, he’s been unable to secure a regular place up top for Liverpool as he has had to battle with the likes of Mane, Firmino and Salah over the years, only starting just two Premier League matches in the past two seasons.
The striker has managed 22 goals from 107 Premier League matches for Liverpool, and is likely to receive a ‘farewell’ appearance as the Reds are at home to Wolves on Sunday. Milan are away to Sassuolo on Sunday knowing a win would secure them a first Serie A title since 2011.
Divock is a striker that needs a manager to believe in him, and offer him regular minutes with strong creative midfielders around him. AC Milan will no doubt benefit from his aerial ability and instinct between the posts.
