Frank Leboeuf has insisted that CHELSEA should have signed James Maddison, James Ward-Prowse and Youri Tielemens during the summer transfer window.
The c;ub took their spending over the £1billion-mark since their takeover last year after a summer spending spree that saw them spent almost £500million on new arrivals.
However, despite all the transfer signings, Mauricio Pochettino has endured a tough start to life at Stamford Bridge with his side struggling to score the goals and pick up the wins that the fans have come to expect.
Maddison and Ward-Prowse, signed from Leicester City and Southampton respectively, have been instant hits at their new clubs and Leboeuf has claimed that they, along with Tielemans, should have been signed by the board
‘I look at Ward-Prowse and Maddison and they’re doing so well. I have no idea why Chelsea didn’t move for either of those,’ Leboeuf told CasinosEnLigne.com.
‘They should have phoned me! Why is Ward-Prowse not in the squad? There are a few others, too, like Tielemans and Maddison. Chelsea missed out on these players as they could have served CHELSEA well.’
Chelsea head to Fulham on Monday night with the Cottagers another rival sat above them in the table.
With just five goals this term, the Blues are among the lowest scorers in the league with Leboeuf pessimistic over their chances at Cravan Cottage.
‘We all know that Chelsea won’t score against Fulham,’ he said.
‘They’ll get a draw at best. As we saw against Aston Villa, there’s always a fear of conceding as Chelsea will always struggle to score even once.
‘As long as their barren streak continues, there’s a massive threat that they’re going to lose. It’s unbelievable I’m saying that about Chelsea.’
