There was alot of hype surrounding the player and his ability – but he has failed to leave a mark on the side and According to a recent report on Spanish newspaper Marca, that has prompted the club to try and cut their losses on the defender and it is claimed that he was offered to Atletico Madrid.
However – a move to Spain never happened as he wanted to stay at the club this summer and fight for his place in the side – but it now seems that he could be set for a more after all.

We are not surprised to see the Spaniard linked with a move away Stamford Bridge and we are not shocked to see that he could be leaving the club during the January transfer window.
The club are seeking to sign a new striker in the winter window and will need some funds, and space in the squad, to do that and the £50 million they could get from Cucurella leaving could go a long way.
