Its been a busy summer for CHELSEA – but deadline day gives the club a real chance to get a few more deals done.
Mauricio Pochettono and Co. have made some big signings this summer window, and also allowed a few stars to depart the club, but it seems that business is not done as there is alot of speculation and gossip flying around.
ZAK SURGE CLOMPLETES PETERBOROUGH MOVE
Zak Sturge has completed a season-long loan to Peterborough United.
The club posted on the club website: ‘The young defender heads to the League One side for his first taste of senior football, having impressed for both our Under-18 and Under-21 sides since joining from Brighton.
‘Sturge, who can play in the centre of defence or as an attack-minded left-back, will team up with Darren Ferguson’s side and could make his debut against Portsmouth this weekend.
‘Best of luck with Posh, Zak!’
MERSON HAS COLE PALMER MESSAGE.
Paul Merson has offered his thoughts on the clubs summer move for Manchester City star Cole Palmer.
Palmer has made 41 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side and has scored two goals in three appearances this season – in the Super Cup and Community Shield.
The England U21 international is keen on the move to Stamford Bridge and considering he has reportedly passed his medical, he will be unveiled as a Chelsea player very soon.
WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –
Merson has now shared his opinion on our deal for Palmer as he said on Sky Sports: ‘I think he is a good player.
‘I thought after the Community Shield, I thought he would get a little bit more time at Man City, the way he came on and scored the goal.
‘Yeah, a bit shocked, if I am being honest, a bit shocked, but good signing, good player. He has got a goal about him.
‘He’s not so much of a dribbler but he can find that pass and he can score a goal. It’s a good signing.
‘I’m pretty shocked, but it just shows you at the moment that Man City don’t think that CHELSEA are that much of a threat to them.’
Cole Palmer has completed his Chelsea medical.
The winger had no issues with his tests and the move is expected to be made official by tonight, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Palmer is now set to sign for the club from Manchester City in a deal worth up to £45million.
