Chelsea will pay six million euro to secure the services of Marc Guiu, who just finished the season with Barça Atlètic.
The young forward, who scored on his first-team debut for FC Barcelona, reportedly decided Chelsea would be a better place for him due, in part, to salary reasons.
Marc Guiu to Chelsea, here we go! The club has just informed Barça on plan to trigger €6m release clause for 2006 born striker.
Verbal agreement in place with Guiu’s agents, now proceeding with formal steps later this week.

Barcelona were willing to offer him a contract similar to that signed by Héctor Fort and Marc Casadó, but Chelsea reportedly wanted to almost triple the offer.
Another reason was playing time. Barcelona made a big investment in Vitor Roque to be their centerforward of the future. Chelsea convinced Guiu he’d have a better chance to play more first team minutes than he currently does.
