Arsenal are interested in signing Valencia wonderkid Yarek Gasiorowski amid his impressive progress through different youth levels, according to AS (page 18).

The 18-year-old is considered as one of the best emerging centre-backs in Spain and he has already made four appearances for the first-team at Valencia.

The teenager recently started for Spain in their Under-19 European qualifier against Moldova and grabbed the headlines by scoring a sensational hat-trick.

AS report that only Arsenal had a scout in attendance to watch the game and they would have signed him ‘long time ago’ if not for the the ‘bureaucratic impediments of Brexit’.

English clubs can’t sign overseas players under the age of 18 under the current rules. The Gunners are following ‘his arrival to the elite very closely’ and could make a bid soon.

Gasiorowski currently has a release clause worth €20 million in his contract but AS mention that this amount will increase exponentially as he becomes a regular first-teamer.

Arsenal aiming to sign one of Spain’s best young talents

Gasiorowski has yet to become a regular with Valencia but he has made a huge mark in the Under-19 European qualifiers with a number of stand-out performances.

In his five appearances, he has made 79 passes per game with an accuracy of 96 per cent. He has made four clearances per outing and has won 63 per cent of his contested duels.

On top of this, he has been a threat from set-pieces with four goals. Arsenal have identified his huge potential and will need to secure his services as soon as possible.

The likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona are known for prising away emerging Spanish talent and the Gunners should look to beat them with an approach this winter.

We won’t be surprised if the club are willing to pay close to the buy-out clause. It remains to be seen whether this has an impact on the position of Jakub Kiwior.

Kiwior has been linked with a move to Serie A with AC Milan lately. Gasiorowski is also a left-footed centre-back and he could be seen as a successor to the Pole.
