Arsenal are working on a deal to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko from Manchester City and talks have accelerated in the past few hours.
Zinchenko joined the Premier League champions for £1.7 million in 2016 and has since gone on to make 128 appearances while winning 10 pieces of silverware including four Premier League titles.
The 25 year-old made 28 appearances during the Blues’ latest title winning campaign, directly contributing to five goals across the Premier League and UEFA Champions League.
Zinchenko has predominantly featured at left-back under Pep Guardiola, starting in the Champions League Final defeat to Chelsea in 2021 and semi-final victory against Paris Saint Germain.
The Ukrainian has however been linked with a possible move away from the Etihad Stadium, with both Arsenal and Everton interested in the versatile midfielder.
Mikel Arteta has already signed striker Gabriel Jesus from City this summer, though the Arsenal boss is now reportedly in talks to bring another Premier League Champion to the Emirates.
David Ornstein reports that the Gunners and the Blues are in contact over a potential move to North London for the 25 year-old, as Arsenal work on a deal to sign Zinchenko.
#ManCity and Arsenal are in contact over a potential transfer for Oleksandr Zinchenko, and @ManCity are open to sanctioning the 25-year-old’s sale if their valuation is met. That has not happened so far but talks continue.

Zinchenko could be one of four Blues stars to move to the capital this summer, after Chelsea agreed a deal in principle for defender Nathan Ake – though the Sky Blues are seeking a replacement before sanctioning any transfer.
City’s valuation of the player is not yet known, though The Athletic state that this is yet to be met and that talks are continuing between the two sides.
