The former Man United attacker went straight into the management field even while still a player
Wayne Rooney is hopeful he will someday get to be manager at Old Trafford as he discloses main reason he started career as a manager.
The former attacker managed to achieve so many successes with Man United during his playing days before leaving for Everton and later on DC United then Derby County where he later on became manager.
According to the 36-year-old, his days at Everton did help convince the Board to offer him an opportunity to become manager before appointing Frank Lampard.
According to GOAL, Wayne Rooney turned down the offer as he disclosed that he doesn’t think he is ready for the job in the Premier League.
Speaking in an interview Rooney disclosed of his beliefs to be Man United manager someday in the nearest future.
“The whole reason in me going into management is Man United,” Rooney said
‘I got offered the job interview for the Everton job. I want to be Manchester United manager.
I know I am not ready now but I have to plan everything I do to make sure one day it will happen.”
