Former Arsenal Playmaker Mesut Ozil has predicted the winners of the premier league, champions league, and FIFA World Cup respectively.
According To him Liverpool’s quest for a record quadruple will come up short this season as he predicts Manchester City will win the Premier League.
The former Arsenal star, on the other hand, has supported Jurgen Klopp’s side to win their eighth European title this season by winning the Champions League.
The Reds have been drawn against Benfica in the quarter-finals, and must beat either Bayern Munich or Villarreal in the semi-finals to advance to the Stade de France final in May.
City is on the other side of the draw and will meet Atletico Madrid in two last-eight matches, with the winner advancing to a thrilling semi-final either holders Chelsea or 13-time European champions Real Madrid.
On the domestic front, reigning champions City lead Liverpool by a single point in the two-horse title battle.
Pep Guardiola’s side were held to a goalless draw by Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in their penultimate Premier League match.
With a dramatic 3-2 defeat by Tottenham in February, City opened the door for their opponents to reduce the gap.
Despite the fact that Liverpool has won their last nine league games, Ozil believes the trophy will remain at the Etihad.
The former Germany international took to Twitter to offer his final-season predictions, predicting City to win the Premier League and Liverpool to win the Champions League.
